Walk the fields with Serenbe Farms manager and learn the principles of organic and biodynamic farming, and the importance of eating locally grown food.
We offer farm tours to the public Saturday’s from May until November at 1230 pm, right after our weekly farmers market, for $5 for a 30- 45 minute tour. (First one being offered off schedule on May tenth)
For all others, both school, corporate, and other groups we offer a variety of tour possibilities and options. We love to educate and share, and people off all ages are welcome to tour from kinder gardeners to adults.
Our tours are focused on teaching the entire cycle of farming and what the entails, from seeds, to greenhouse, tractors, planting and harvesting.
Standard Farm Tour- 1 hour, $10 per person
This includes a general walk around the farm, greenhouse, infrastructure, equipment, hoop house, and 5 acres of cultivated fields. While touring we will discuss our general farming practices and philosophies: composting, cover cropping, crop rotation, pest and disease prevention. We will also talk about how we market our produce, about what vegetables we grow and why, the importance of keeping food local and answer any other questions you may have along the way.
Educational Farm Tour- 90-105 minutes, $15 per person (for groups less than 30 students)
This includes are standard 1 hour farm tour, as well as additional activities, and educational instruction on specific topics for 30-45 minutes. Such as harvesting vegetables, helping plant, farm scavenger hunt or seeding in the greenhouse.
** We enjoy working with school groups and are more than happy to coordinate your curriculum with on farm happenings and activities while touring the farm, and are willing to negotiate on prices for groups 30 students/people or more. With large groups we prefer to provide a rotating farm stations type of farm tour. Stations vary based on number of students/people and age.
Get your hands dirty/So you want to be a farmer tour- 2-3 hours, $20 per person
If you really want to get your hands dirty and be a farmer for a few hours we offer a 2-3 hour farm experience. This includes are 1 hour standard farm tour, as well, as activities mentioned above, and helping out on everyday farm tasks side by side with us, such as harvesting, building/repairing infrastructure, running irrigation and weeding.
We are a production farm and this is why we do require a $100 minimum per group to scheduled a tour if less than 10 people.

From April until November we only offer scheduled group and school farm tours on Wednesdays and Thursday mornings, days during the school year fill up fast, so please contact me as far in advance as possible.
