CSA Policies and Manual
General CSA Policies
By sending in your registration form you agree to the following policies.
Payment — You agree to pay the balance of your CSA share in full by May 3rd. Alternative payment plans may be available upon special request. Deposits are non-refundable.
Communication — You agree to supply us with at least one email address to stay in contact regarding important share information.
You agree to read and stay informed through all of our CSA newsletters and private emails. The newsletters or emails that highlight vital information will be marked “Important”. Please add us to your address book to protect our communication from spam filters.
Pick up etiquette — You agree to follow these guidelines:
-Please observe pick up times for each location and be respectful of the farmers’ and the farm hosts’ time. We will not be set up until the specified pick up time. You are welcome to walk around the farm or wait for us to get set up.
-We do not coordinate after hours pick up unless you notify us at least 1 full day in advance (by Monday at noon). We can hold your share on the farm until the Thursday after CSA pick up. Shares are never ready prior to pick up times. If you cannot pick up your share, it will be donated to our local food bank.
-We cannot double up on missed shares or change half share pick up dates. Consider sending someone in your place to pick up your share.
-You must sign in to receive a share. Please inform anyone you send to pick up in your place about our sign in policy.
-Do not take a share if your name is not on the sign in sheet. There is likely a reason your name is not on the sheet. Please call the farm to resolve.
-Safety first! Be careful when visiting the farm…watch out for ants, machinery, and other natural hazards. We encourage you to walk through the farm, just watch where you step, avoiding our fields and any holes or rocks in the paths.
-Please be courteous and respectful of our farm hosts: Strongbox West and the Abbotts. They are kind enough to volunteer their space for our use.
