Summer seems to be here in full force. With the change in the seasons comes a lull in harvesting and a fervor of new planting. While some of our plants seem to be craving some good rains, our tomatoes and melons seem to enjoy the heat and are growing at an increasing rate. Our irrigation is playing a vital role in our lives right now and keeping everything moving until some much desired rains finally decide to show up.

This week is a week full of children. Yesterday a camp group came down to the farm and built us a new herb spiral. Tuesday and Thursday, kids from Inner Harbour will come and help us harvest blueberries.

As always, we owe a big thanks to all our volunteers. Their hard work makes our days a little easier and their enthusiasm keeps our spirits high.

Upcoming Events

Wednesday, the 21st is Kids Day. From 10am until noon, there will be a hayride around the farm, storytelling, a treasure hunt, and lots of fun. Please email or call to reserve a spot, or meet us at the farm at 10am. There will be supervision but parents are encouraged to join. The event is $5 per child.

Saturday, the 24th is our Fourth Saturday Farmers and Artists market. From 8am until noon we will have more than 12 vendors selling their handmade products, foods, and art. For sale will be locally prepared foods, as well as jewelry, clothing, natural body products and more. The market will be set up in the grass across from the Blue Eyed Daisy on Selbourne Lane in the Serenbe community. Don't miss it!

After the market on Saturday, come help us celebrate the Summer Solstice on the farm. From 5pm until 9pm we will host a potluck (public welcome), hayrides, live music, art projects, an evening bonfire, and lots more.
