There was a lot of rain this week, and the plants love it! It’s been a nice break from irrigation duties here on the farm, so we love it too! We have been working pretty steady on some things at the farm…the chicken coop is done, much needed maintenance on the electric fencing (thanks to our volunteer, Andy), greenhouse maintenance, and cleaning the grounds of huge rocks and debris. We also got our beehives in this week. It’s very exciting and beautiful to see the bees working alongside us.
We have a volunteer that has come back from Tennessee to help out on the farm, her name is April and she will be with us for a month. Also the week of July 4th there will be another intern joining the farm, her name is Ariel. It’s great to see so many people coming together to be a part of Serenbe Farms. Turtle will be leaving for a quick month of touring with the Indigo Girls, but she’ll be back before you know it. Ryan will also be leaving soon to go back home to Montana. We will miss you very much Ryan!
The artist market on Saturday was a great success, as well as Kids Day out on the farm. Thanks to everyone who was able to come out. We really enjoyed seeing all of you, and especially seeing the kids having such a great time!
