Serenbe Farms is a certified organic farm located in the Serenbe community and surrounded by the rural oasis of the Chattahoochee Hills. Situated on 25 preserved acres of farmland, we are slowly increasing our acreage and diversifying our production. Started in 2004, the farm began on a degraded slab of red clay earth and has transformed into a haven for wildlife, biodiversity, and a lush landscape.
Currently we produce over 350 varieties of vegetables, flowers, herbs, mushrooms, and eggs on 4 acres and are nurturing and restoring soil on an additional 4 acres. We find security in diversity both in what we grow and how we market our produce. Growing a healthy mix of heirlooms and hybrids, we focus on taste, genetic preservation, and production. Harvesting over 60,000 lbs of produce a year, we market our goods through our Community Supported Agriculture program, our Serenbe Farmers and Artists Market, and to many talented chefs in Serenbe and Atlanta.
We pay close attention to our impact on our surrounding environment working to keep our inputs to a minimum and our produce close to home. Utilizing waste from our residents, and our restaurants (all within a mile away), we’ve created a successful community based composting system that provides us with a portion of the nutrition we need on the farm.
